Install two 50-watt max. halogen bulbs, type JD
E11 (included).
Tip
:
Do not touch glass portion of bulb with fingers
or hands. Oil from skin can cause bulb to overheat
and go out prematurely. Use cardboard box or foam
wrapping bulb was packed with to layer around
glass portion of bulb.
Remove finial, finial plate, threaded washer and
rubber washer from bottom of light kit fitter.
Raise glass shade in order to guide pull chains
through holes at the bottom of the glass shade.
Align threaded rod on light kit fitter with hole in
middle of glass shade and push up gently,
allowing threaded rod to come through hole. (
Be
sure pull chain for fan operation does not rub
against bulb during operation.
) Secure glass shade
to light kit fitter with threaded washer.
Note
:
Do NOT overtighten threaded washer as glass
may crack or break.
Thread pull chains through corresponding holes
in finial plate and center pull chain through hole
in finial. Tighten finial.
Note
:
Do not overtighten finial as glass may crack or
break.
IMPORTANT
:
When replacing bulb(s), please allow
bulb(s) and glass shade to cool down before touching,
keeping in mind not to touch the bulb itself as
described above (see "
Tip
").
