RH Control Mode, Mould Growth Index (MGI)
Accessible from default view by pushing <Setup> and
then twice down arrow provided control mode MGI is
selected in the mode and reset menu.
To change parameters, push <Change>, use down
arrow to select parameter to change and push
<Select>.
Select parameter value of choice using the arrows and
then push <Save>.
”%RH Safety Margin” defines at what number of
percentage points below current MGI RH%, the lower
limit for mould growth at given temperature, that the
dehumidifier shall operate.
”Hysteresis, Upper/Lower”
defines at what percentage
points, respectively above and below the RH Safety
Margin that the dehumidifier shall activate and
deactivate.
”Alarm, +RH%”
defines at
what percentage point
above the activation level that the humidity alarm on
the Control Panel shall be activated.
Example:
RH Safety Margin: -15%
Hysteresis Upper/Lower: 4% / - 4%
Alarm, +%RH: 10%
Dehumidifier activation = Current MGI - 15% + 4%
= Current MGI - 11%
Dehumidifier deactivation = Current MGI - 15% - 4%
= Current MGI - 19%
The alarm is triggered at Current MGI - 15 % Safety
4 % Hysteresis Upper + 10 % Alarm which
equals Current MGI - 1 %.
In other words, the alarm will be triggered at a relative
humidity one percentage point below the lower limit
for mould growth at given temperature.
