ROCEDURES
Do not use any of the ice made during cleaning operations.
Clean and sanitize ice storage area when cleaning ice maker.

WARNING:
Disconnect power to the unit before servicing. Follow all lock out/tag out procedures established by the user. Verify all
power is off to the unit before performing any work.
Failure to comply could result in serious injury, death or damage to the equipment.
1. Turn machine off.
2. Shut off water supply.
3. Remove ice from storage bin.
4. Mix approved cleaner (2 gallons (7.6 Liters) as directed). Recommended cleaner: Nu-Calgon Wholesaler
INC, ice machine cleaner. Mixture: 2-2/3 ounces(57gms) per gallon of water. Do not use nickel safe cleaners.
5. Turn machine on and add cleaner solution to water level control (float reservoir) until 2 gallons (7.6 Liters) have
been used.
6. Turn on water supply and run machine for 10 minutes to flush out cleaner.
7. Turn off machine and remove/discard all ice. Turn off the water supply.
8. Prepare a 5 gallon mixture of sanitizer (100 ppm chlorine). Recommended sanitizer: Kay-5.
9. Remove the auger assembly from the hopper.
10. Empty out the water from the float assembly by disconnecting the bottom tube connected to the evaporator
and draining into a cup/pitcher and discard.
11. After draining out the water, reconnect the tube from Evaporator to the Float.
12. Pour sanitizer into the float or evaporator until it fills to the overflow line.
13. Sanitize the food zone components by soaking a clean cloth in sanitizer and whipping them down. Small com-
ponents can be soaked in the 5 gallons (19 Liters) bucket of sanitizer. List of components to sanitize are as
follows:
a. Lid/Agitator Assembly.
b. Auger/Extruder Assembly (can be soaked in sanitizer bucket).
c. Interior of Hopper.
d. Ice Gate Door.
e. Ice Chute (can be soaked in sanitizer bucket).
14. Allow unit and components to soak for 10 minutes after sanitizer application.
15. Drain the unit of sanitizer.
16. Assemble the unit back together, turn on water and run for 10 minutes to flush out the system.
17. Empty the hopper of any remaining ice and turn off the unit.
