The device provides nodes for the identification of connected sensors/actuators. E.g., the OPC UA client
can read the version of the device firmware used in the software revision node (

6.5. Wireless Physical Connection
Wireless connection is determined by frequency and time. Each wireless track supports 8 time slots. Each
connected W-Device (sensor/actuator) can occupy a single slot (SSlot) or a double slot (DSlot).
•
SSlot supports 1 byte of PDIn per cycle time
•
DSlot supports up to 14 bytes per cycle time
Note:
If the PDIn size exceeds the slot_type maximum size, then PDIn will be transmitted in
segments, thereby resulting in longer latency.
The following table shows an example for track and slot configuration for an IO-Link wireless device if the
slot type
“Double slot” is configured.
