6.7 Inserting the battery
a) Open the battery lock.
b) Insert the battery.
DT: Slide the battery downward into the
downtube rail.
CA: Place the battery on the connector box
from above (battery slot on the carrier) and
then fold it down until the carrier locking
mechanism on the bottom

d) The lock closes with a click.
e) DT: Plug the charging cable into the charg-
ing connection on the battery

6.8 Range
Efficient cycling and the range that can be
covered depend on various factors:
› Pedal power exerted by the cyclist
› Assistance level
› Switching characteristics
› Type of tires
› Tire pressure
› Age and condition of the battery
› Route profile
› Route condition
› Headwind
› Ambient temperature
› Total transport weight
The diversity of these factors means that the
maximum range that can be covered by the
eBike can vary significantly. An example of the
maximum ranges that can be covered by the
DT and CA battery variants is shown below:
