6.3 Battery modes
The battery adapts to the system activity automatically via the integrated battery man-
agement system. Various battery modes ensure an optimal supply of energy and effective
battery capacity utilization.
6.5 Displaying the capacity
Press the charge level indicator button
to display

the charge level of the battery.
The LEDs indicate the charge level as per the
following table:

Active mode The battery is in active mode when the drive system is switched on or the
charger is connected.
Standby mode After five minutes of inactivity, the system switches off automatically. The
battery switches to standby mode, whereby the power supply to the system
is reduced in order to prevent unnecessary energy consumption.
The battery reactivates itself automatically as soon as the system is switched
on or the charger is connected.
Deep sleep mode After one hour of inactivity, the battery switches to deep sleep mode. In doing
so, the battery deactivates the supply of energy to the drive system and
reduces its own activity to the necessary minimum. This enables the battery
to go for longer periods between charges and avoid deep discharge.
As is the case with standby mode, the battery is reactivated as soon as the
drive system is activated or the charger is connected.

6.4 Battery deep discharge protection
When the battery has a remaining capacity
of 500 mAh, it automatically switches to “0
mode” in order to avoid deep discharge. Light-
ing continues to be provided for two hours.
However, system assistance is no longer
provided for the eBike / pedelec in “0 mode”.
