4. Safety Notices
Damages caused by non-compliance with this operating manual lead to an
expiration of the warranty! We will not assume any liability for subsequent
damages!
We will not assume any liability for damages to items or persons caused by
improper handling or non-compliance with the safety notices! Any warranty
claim will null and void in such cases.
Dear customer, The following safety and hazard notices do not only serve to protect the
device but also to protect your health. Read the following notices attentively:
• For reasons of safety and licensing (CE) it is not allowed to alter respectively modify
the product. In addition, this renders the warranty/guarantee invalid.
• The product is not a toy and not suited for children. Children cannot estimate the
hazards when handling electric devices.
• The power pack is constructed in protective class 2. Only a proper wall outlet of the
public supply net may be used as voltage source (230V~/50Hz).
• The product is only suited for operation in dry interior rooms, it may not become damp
or wet. This may not only destroy the product but also poses mortal danger through
electric shock!
• Condense water may form when the product is brought from a cold to a warm room (e.g.
during transport). This may damage the product The power pack poses an additional
risk of a mortal electric shock.
Let the product reach room temperature first before using it or connecting the power
pack with the mains. This may take several hours.
• Do not put any containers with liquid, e.g. buckets, vases or plants in direct proximity
to the product. Liquid may penetrate the inside and impair the electric safety. In
addition, there is a mortal risk of fire or electric shock.
In such a case, turn the power off on the wall outlet (e.g. switch the fuse box) and then
pull the power pack out of the wall outlet. Disconnect all cables from the TV tuner box.
Afterwards, the product may no longer be operated. Take it to an expert workshop.
• Do not place any open light sources like burning candles etc. on the device or close
to it.
• Only operate the product in moderate climate, not in tropical climates.
• Never touch the power pack with wet or damp hands. Danger of a fatal electric shock.
• Do not pull the power pack out of the outlet on the cable. Take it on the left and right
with your hand and pull it out of the outlet (in reverse order to plugging it in).
