Tips and Notes
a) In general
• Remember to switch on the “wormhole” station via the on/off switch on the side (blue LED in
the switch lights up), otherwise none of the connections will be active.
• Never disconnect the USB connection during operation, as this may cause data loss. First,
exit the operating system.
• A laptop can be placed at the rear end of the “wormhole” station. If required, move the rubber
rings so that the notebook is secure and stable.
• Never operate the “wormhole” station without the wall plug transformer included in the deliv-
ery, otherwise the USB port of the notebook might be overloaded.
• The con
fi
guration of the “wormhole” station can be done via the menu bar icon that is avail-
able after installing the software. You should also read the instructions of the manufacturer in
English.
b) USB 3.0 hub
☞
The USB 3.0 hub is available only to the computer that is connected via the USB 3.0
connection to the “wormhole” station.
Any USB device can be connected to the two ports of the integrated USB 3.0 hub. Of course,
conventional USB 2.0/1.1 devices operate, as the USB 3.0 is backwards compatible. This does
not make the USB2.0/1.1 devices faster.
c) Memory Card Reader
☞
The memory card reader is only available to the computer that is connected via the
USB 3.0 connection with the “wormhole” station.
The memory card reader works with USB 2.0 speed.
• Inserting/Removing the Memory Card
Insert a memory card into the appropriate slot of the card reader. Pay attention to the correct
orientation when inserting the memory card; do not use force!
• Reading/Writing to Memory Cards
A memory card plugged into the card reader will appear as a conventional removable disc
drive. With the Windows File Manager you can now read the data on the memory card (or
store data on the memory card) in the same way as you use a USB hard drive or a USB stick.
The maximum attainable speed when reading / writing to a memory card depends on the
memory card you use.
Cleaning
Using a dry, soft, lint-free cloth is suf
fi
cient to clean the product. Do not apply too much pres-
sure, it can scratch the product.
Dust can be removed very easily by a long-haired, clean, soft brush or with a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic products do not belong to the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
