l) Reception display
• When a data packet is received by the exterior unit, a little radio signal ” ” briefly flashes
on the top right of the display.
• If no signal is received for more than 15 minutes by the exterior unit, only lines will appear
for the outdoor temperature and the amount of rain, instead of a measured value.
If this is the case press the ”
SEARCH IN/OUT TEMP
” (
D
) button and hold down for about
3 seconds until a tone signal is emitted.
The base station will now search for the radio signals of the exterior unit. Wait a couple of
minutes until the exterior unit sends a data packet again.
Alternatively you can briefly press the ”TX” button in the battery compartment
of the exterior unit (eg with a toothpick). Doing this, the exterior unit instantly
sends a data packet.
If reception problems appear more regularly, although new ”full” batteries are used, choose
a different set-up location for the base station and/or the exterior unit, decrease the distance
between the two devices.
m) Energy saving mode
The base station is provided with an energy saving mode in order to increase the life of the
batteries (eg when you are not at home for a longer period of time, holidays).
To turn the energy saving mode on or off, press both buttons ”
RAIN SETTING
” (
A
) and
”
SEARCH IN/OUT TEMP
” (
D
) and hold them for about 3 seconds.
Once the energy saving mode was switched on the complete LC display and
all functions are turned off.
However, the internal clock continues to run.
n) “Battery exhausted” display for remote unit
When the battery icon ”
” appears on the top right on the display, the batteries of the
exterior unit are exhausted. Exchange them as soon as possible with new batteries.
