SPI Bus
The SPI signals are connected to the onboard SPI flash and also to the feature connector (X34). The SPI signals on the feature connector
provides the ability to boot the conga-IA4 from external flash. This however requires a customized adapter for triggering the BIOS_DISABLE#
signal (pin 46) of the feature connector.
Note
The congatec customized adapter for the feature connector is for internal use only.

LPC Super I/O Device
The conga-IA4 has an onboard Super I/O controller that provides additional interfaces such as two serial interfaces, optional ccTALK, GPOs,
4-wire CPU and system fans. The Super I/O controller is connected to the SoC's LPC Bus.
5.5.1
Serial Ports (COM)
The Super I/O controller on the conga-IA4 provides two fully featured RS-232 compliant UART interfaces (COM 0 and 1). The COM 1 interface
can be optionally used as ccTALK compliant interface. The COM ports can drive up to 115 kbit/s at a maximum cable length of 15 m.
