Probable Cause Corrective Action Needed
CHECK CLOCK Time or date is invalid.
Enter the correct time and/or date in
the auto start menu.
When correcting the error, go through
the menu from back to front by using
the lower left down arrow.
CHECK STATS
The nonvolatile memory has
become corrupted.
Clear the drink statistics and check all
user parameters
CHECK
SENSOR
VOLTAGE
Warns of a failure of the 9vdc
and/or -3vdc used for the
transducer and milk level
sensors.
A short in either one of these
circuits will display this
warning AND disable the
steam tank heating element.
Unplugging the shorted circuit will
reset the warning. To do this, unplug
each milk level sensor and the
transducer independently to
determine which will cause the
warning to go away. Replace shorted
sensor.
Steam tank fill valve failure.
Diagnose using TEST ROUTINES /
STEAM FILL VALVE
Check coil.
Check valve for foreign
objects/mineral deposits.
Worn plunger seal.
Level probe failure.
Test sensor using TEST ROUTINES /
UPPER STEAM PROBE or TEST
ROUTINES / LOWER STEAM PROBE.
CHECK STEAM
TANK
Steam tank 10 minute fill
timeout has been exceeded.
Verify water supply to steam tank.
Verify steam fill valve.
Verify steam tank drain valve is
closed.
CHK ANALOG
BOARD
Missing supply voltages.
Missing or bad analog board. Verify transformer secondary output
voltages.
Replace DC supply board.
Install/Replace analog board.
CHK FRONT
GRINDER
No power to grinder. Check fuses in AC drawer.
CHK REAR
GRINDER
No power to grinder. Check fuses in AC drawer.
No incoming water supply.
Check that incoming water supply
valve is open.
Check for clogged filter.
Dirty lower piston.
Run Brew Group/Shutdown clean.
Repeat if necessary.
Grind too fine. Adjust grind: coarser.
Coffee powder dose too big.
Check COFFEE PWDR DOSE setting.
Adjust as necessary.
Pre-treatment too high Lower pre-treatment setting.
CHK WATER
FLOW
Faulty flowmeter.
Pump pressure.
Verify flowmeter wiring is correct.
Using TEST ROUTINES / BREW WATER
VALVE, verify counter increments.
Ensure flowmeter is not clogged.
Verify pump calibration.
