Nozzle and Anti-Splatter Shield
The nozzle provides a consistent rate of milk flow. The addition of
an anti-splatter shield on the nozzle greatly reduces the amount of
milk splatter during drink production.
Air-Gate Valve Assembly
The air-gate valve assembly allows a regulated supply of air to mix
with the milk and steam inside the milk valve assembly during the
production of a milk-based drink.
Air-Gate Valve
The air-gate valve operates while the milk valve is open. The air-
gate valve allows air to be pulled through the air vent needle and
into the milk valve via tubing. This design introduces air only when
the machine is pulling milk, keeping debris from the needle and
eliminating clogging.
Air Vent Needle
The air vent needle regulates the amount of air allowed to mix with
the milk and steam.
Connection of Milk Valve Assembly and Air-Gate
Valve
A length of tubing connects the air-gate valve assembly to the milk
valve, allowing the regulated air supply to travel through the air-
gate valves to the interior of the milk valve.
Alt Milk Valve
Operating Voltage: 24vdc
The voltage for the alt milk valve is 24vdc for 300 milliseconds and
then reduces to 12vdc to hold the valve in the desired state.
The alt milk valve is located within the refrigeration unit and
selects between the two supplies of milk (if two different milks are
available). When the alt milk valve is energized, milk will be drawn
from the front milk supply container. When the non-fat milk option
is selected on the keypad, milk is drawn from the rear container,
and the alt milk valve is not energized.
EXAMPLE
: When a standard milk-based drink is poured, voltage is
sent to the alt milk valve to select the Milk #1 (front) container.
When the NON-FAT option is selected, the valve is not activated,
and milk is drawn from the Milk #2 (rear) container.
