Caller
VU Meters (Send and Caller) —
These LED’s indicate the audio levels at
the
S
End
and
C
AllEr
XLR connectors.
The
S
End
meter indicates the level of the audio sent to the caller. The input
gain should be set so that the average send level is at 0 dBU with occasional
peaks to +4 dBU.
The
C
AllEr
meter indicates the level of the audio being received by the hy-
brid. Caller processing (compressor, EQ, gain and the other caller process-
ing parameters) is reflected in the
C
AllEr
meter reading.
Volume —
The up and down arrows (
/
) raise or lower the volume level
of the internal 2-watt power amplifier to the speaker or headphone
connected to the
M
OnItOr
jack on the rear panel. Pressing a button once in-
creases or decreases the level by 3 dB. Holding a button sweeps the volume
up or down.
At power up, the monitor volume defaults to a nominal reference of
0dB. The volume may be adjusted b18 dB and –27 dB. Reducing
the volume past –27 dB turns off the monitor and mutes the power ampli-
fier output, indicated by the solid red

OlUME
LED.
Pressing
and
simultaneously will reset the volume to nominal (0 dBu).

These four buttons allow you to navigate through the
menus and adjust parameters on the adjacent LCD panel. They are also
used in setting and entering the password.
LCD Display —
This LCD display is a two-line, 16-character alphanumeric
display. The first line displays the main menu categories. The second line
displays the adjustable parameters.
