SSID. A device will not be permitted to join the network group unless it can provide the same
unique SSID. A SSID is also referred to as a
Network Name
because essentially it is a name
that identifies a wireless network.
Tx Rate
This is the transmission rate at which the data is transmitted.
The options available are
# 1Mbps
# 2Mbps
# 1/2Mbps
# 5.5Mbps
# 11Mbps
# Fully Automatic.
PS Mode
Power Saving Mode. This would allow a more efficient usage of the power on the device.
RTS/CTS Threshold
This determines the minimum bytes of a packet size before invoking the RTS/CTS mechanism.
Packets that exceed the specified RTS threshold would trigger the RTS/CTS mechanism. An
RTS threshold value of zero would have indicated that it would transmit all the packtes using
RTS/CTS.
The values that can be set the RTS/CTS parameter ranges from 0 to 3000 bytes.
Fragmentation Threshold
This determines the size of that data packet that will be fragmented. The size can range from
256 to 2346 bytes.
Click on
to save the settings. However, the system must be rebooted in order for the
changes to take effect.
