Station Name 

This is used to identify the Access Point Client in the network. This is particular useful if there 
are many wireless devices in the network. The parameter allows a  maximum of 31 
alphanumeric characters. 

 

 
SSID

 

Acronym for Service Set Identifier, a 32-character unique identifier which is attached to the 
header of packets sent over a WLAN. The SSID differentiates one WLAN from another, so all 
access points and all devices attempting to connect to a specific WLAN must use the same
