OMT connection for commission and local management
A RS-232 connection is made between the PC and the equipment in two ways:
a) Without opening the enclosure, two cables are required to connect the equipment to the
computer: conversion cable is connected to the “Commissioning Port” on the bottom of the
enclosure, which is a five-pin round connector, RS-232 cable is connected to the serial port of
the computer. These two cables are connected via the DB9 connector, shown as in the
following figure.

b) With the enclosure opened, customer can connect the equipment to the PC directly via the
RS-232 port (X18) on the distribution board inside the enclosure for local commissioning.
Note: temporarily break the Li-ion battery connection before making the OMT connection.
