TEST LEVEL CALIBRATION  

 

 

Rev050321 

 

 

Set  the  frequency  of  the  signal  generator  to  150  kHz  (without 
modulation). 

 

 

Adjust the signal generator output to 

either

:  

 

 

 

the  respective 

SGout

  value  determined  during  calibration  for  the 

present test frequency.

 

 

 

 

 

-or-

  

 

 

 

the level at which the power indicated by the power meter is equal to 
the  respective 

FWDpwr

  value  determined  during  calibration  for  the 

present test frequency

. 

 

 

Record the amplitude measured on the measuring instrument as 

U

mr

. 

 

 

Increase  the  signal  generator  output  by  5.1  dB,  and  record  the 
amplitude  measured  on  the  measuring  instrument  as 

U

mr(inc)

.    The 

difference between 

U

mr 

and 

U

mr(inc)

 must be between 3.1 dB and 7.1 

dB. 

 

 

Increase  the  frequency  of  the  signal  generator  to  the  next  test 
frequency. 

 

 

Repeat  steps  2  through  5  until  the  next  frequency  in  the  sequence 
would exceed the highest frequency of the test.
