Operation of control panel
Buildings and premises are often divided in ventilation zones where it is need to control the
activation of ventilation and give an alarm indication in case of excessive concentration.
In this way, CO and/or NO
2
sensor must be distributed by the building/premise in accordance
with the installation rules/regulations.
A recommendable coverage for these devices are between 200 and 300 m
2
, and place in a
height between 1,5 and 2 m from the floor.
Sensors in each ventilation zone have to be connected in the same zone terminal without
exceeding the capacity of control panel and according to the requirements of wiring.
Control panel asks if found configuration is accepted. In the case of not accepting or not answer
in a specific time, control panel will go to working mode with the configuration it had in memory.
If configuration is accepted, it will save configuration and begin working with it.
Once in working mode, the control panel will display the information of the concentrations of
each zone in the display. CO concentration in the range of 0 to 300 ppm, and the concentration
of NO
2
in the range of 0 to 20 ppm of NO
2
.
The Control panel recognizes the type of sensor connected in each zone to show the
concentration of toxic gases in the display. This will show only concentration of CO, NO
2
or CO
and NO
2.

The control panel establishes two concentration values for each sensor. One of them is the
instantaneous value
, which corresponds to the measures that the sensor performs every few
seconds. The other is the
average value
, which is set as the average value measured during a
time interval which can be set in the control panel between 0 minutes (correspond to an
instantaneous value) and 60 minutes, and it is transmitted between sensor and control panel
each 50 seconds.
The display shows the average value of the sensor with the higher concentration of all the
sensors in that zone for managing ventilation and alarm outputs and delays activation.
The control panel allows to configure the concentration of activation of ventilation 1 relay,
ventilation 2 relay (ventilation 2 only if DVB version) and alarm relay.
In the same way, control panel allows to configure the time delay to the activation and the delay
time to stop of ventilation 1, 2 (ventilation 2 only if DVB version) and alarm.
Thus, the behavior of the system is as follows independently for each ventilation zone.
Starting from the rest, when toxic gas concentration exceeds the ventilation level 1 in the zone,
ventilation 1 of that zone is activated after been above this level more than the delay time to
activation 1.
