Installing the mast
To install the mast:

Determine a suitable location for the base plate of the mast,
taking into account the area required during installation.

Orient the base plate so that the attachment point for the
erection pole is on the opposite side from the direction in
which the mast will lay during installation.

Do one of the following:
• In a ground installation, secure the base plate in place
using the tent pegs provided.
• In a rooftop installation, secure the base plate in
place using appropriate fasteners.

Measure 4 m from the centre of the base plate along the
plane in which the mast will lay during installation.

Do one of the following:
• In a ground installation, drive a star picket into the
ground to the level of the lowest hole.
NOTE:
The flange with the holes on the star
picket must face toward the base plate.
• In a rooftop installation, attach an anchor point to the
roof using appropriate fasteners.

Provide three more anchor points at 90° intervals on the 4 m
radius from the centre of the base plate.
