Fasten the workpiece securely.
Use clamps or screw clamps where possible to allow you to handle the workpiece
with both hands. This is safer than holding the workpiece with one hand.

Do not overreach.
Make sure you always stand firmly and well-balanced.
14.
Maintain the tools.
Assure they are clean and that the blades are sharp to achieve the optimal effect
and a safe result. Follow the recommendations in the manual pertaining to greasing
and replacement of parts. Check the power cord regularly, and if it is damaged it
should be replaced by a qualified service technician. Check all extension cords
regularly to make sure they are not damaged. Make sure the handles of the
machine/tool and levers are clean, dry, and completely free of oil, grease, etc.

Turn off the power.
Unplug the device and push the emergency brake, if there is one, before service
and when replacing parts such as planing irons, drill bits, sanding belts, or blades.

replaced. Damaged power cords and power switches must always be replaced
by a qualified technician. Never use the tool if you are unable to switch it off or
start it in a safe manner.
