lights (3).
Checking the remaining capacity of the battery
The remaining capacity of the battery is displayed by
the control lights (3).
Operation
Check before switching on!
Check to make sure the unit is in a safe operating
condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible defects.
– Check to make sure all unit components are cor-
rectly mounted.
Inserting a tool

.
Electronic control of rotational speed
The appliance is equipped with an electronic rota-
tional speed control.
– Set the required speed using the buttons (2).
•
The set speed is indicated by the control
lights (3).
*)
The speed is always reset to 20,000 rpm when switching on the
device.
Mounting the protective hood
– Unscrew the screw cap (6).
– Screw on the protective hood (9).
– Turn the protective hood to protect the user from
chips, sparks, etc.
Notes on using the device
– Always hold work pieces securely or clamp into
place.
– Do not tilt work piece and tool.
– When milling or engraving hold the device as if it
were a writing implement.
– For coarse work, hold the device as if it were a
hammer.
•
The following guidelines apply to the tool revolu-
tions:
– Plastic and materials with a low melting point
must be processed at lower revolutions.
– To polish or clean using wire brushes select a
low revolution level in order to prevent dam-
ages by the brushes.
– Wooden materials should be processed at
higher revolutions.
– Iron and steel should be processed at higher
revolutions.
– Dampening the tool with petroleum or another
suitable lubricant will prevent shavings from
sticking to the cut surfaces.
Note:
The Li-Ion battery pack can be
charged at any time without affecting the
lifetime of the unit. Interrupting the charging
process will not damage the battery pack.
CAUTION! Risk of injury!
Only use tools
approved by the manufacturer!
Never use damaged tools. Always check
tools for tears and other damage before
mounting.
Only use tools that are appropriate for the
material you are processing.
Only use tools with a permitted revolution
that is at least as high as the idle revolutions
of the unit.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!
The motor may overheat in the event of per-
manent heavy loads and low revolutions.
Run the motor at higher revolutions in idle
to allow it to cool down.
NOTICE! Risk of machine damage!
The
motor can overheat when running at low
speeds under continuous heavy load. Cool
off the motor by running at high speed with-
out a load.
