2. Plug the spray
fl
oor nozzle onto the suction tube (
13
) and connect the two parts of
the fresh water hose (
3
) (see the “Attaching / Removing Suction Nozzles” section).
Filling fresh water reservoir
1. Remove the fresh water reservoir (
20
) from the device if necessary.
2. Hold the fresh water reservoir (
20
) by the handle, unscrew the seal cap and pull out
the hose.
3. Pour a few drops of the carpet cleaning product into the fresh water reservoir (
20
).
Please also note the dosing instructions for the cleaning product.
4. Fill the fresh water reservoir (
20
) with at least 1 litre but no more than 3 litres (
Max
marking
) of warm water (max. 40°C). Plug the hose back into the fresh water
reservoir (
20
) and then seal it shut again with the seal cap.
Please note: Push the hose into the fresh water reservoir suf
fi
ciently far that, even
when the level of water is low, liquid can still be pumped into the hose.
5. Insert the fresh water reservoir (
20
) into the receptacle for the fresh water reservoir
(14).
6. Plug the hose of the fresh water reservoir (
20
) into the socket next to the mains cable
socket on the lid (
7
) and rotate it a quarter turn in the clockwise direction.
Cleaning the carpet
1. Decide where you will be starting to clean and where you will stop without treading
on the section of carpet that has just been cleaned. We recommend that right-hand-
ed people should start at the right-hand edge of the carpet, and left-handed people
should start at the left-hand edge of the carpet. Cleaning solution may still escape
from the device even after it has been switched off. You should therefore have a cloth
ready which you can place the device on after use.
2. Unwind the mains cable and insert the mains plug into a properly installed mains
socket that is easily accessible.
3. Roll the device to a corner of the carpet.
4. Move the operating switch (
6
) to the II position to switch on the device with the pump.
5. Pull the spray
fl
oor nozzle backwards along the edge of the carpet and hold the lever
for releasing the cleaning solution (
2
) pressed down. This applies the solution to the
carpet and brushes it in. Walk to the side of the device as you do this.
Do not tread
on the wet carpet!
Once you have reached the other end of the carpet, release the
lever.
6. Start the next strip slightly overlapping the strip of carpet that has just been cleaned.
Work your way with even backwards movements to the other edge of the carpet. If
you
fi
nd more stubborn patches of dirt, go over a strip several times if necessary.
7. When the dirty water and dust container (
9
) is full, it needs to be emptied (see the
“After Use” chapter, “ Cleaning Device” section).
8. When you want to empty the dirty water and dust container (
9
), top up the fresh water
reservoir (
20
) or stop cleaning, place the device down on the cloth that is to hand.
Switch it off (switch position
0
).
9. Remove the mains plug from the plug socket.
