After Use
• Empty both water reservoirs after each use.
• Allow the freshly cleaned carpet to dry completely.
• If possible, do not walk on it while it is still damp. If you have to walk on it, lay down
white or colourfast cloths and walk on them.
• If cleaning solution has got onto wooden
fl
oors or furniture, wipe it away.
• Dry vacuum the dried carpet again (see the “Use as Wet or Dry Vacuum Cleaner”
section). Do this using the
fl
oor nozzle
.
Cleaning the Device
CAUTION!
■
Remove the mains plug from the plug socket before doing any cleaning.
■
The wet
fi
lter must
not
be cleaned in the washing machine.
■
Only ever dry the
fi
lter in the air, and never use a hair dryer or a tumble dryer to do so.
■
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents to clean the device. These may damage
the device.
■
Before you store away the device, the water reservoirs must be emptied and rinsed out.
1. Make sure that the mains plug has been pulled out.
2. Empty the dirty water and dust container (

):
• If you have sucked up dust:
–
remove the lid (

) (see the “Attaching / Removing Lid” section),
–
remove the dust bag (18) and - if it is not yet full - store it in a plastic bag until you
next want to use it,
–
If the dust bag (
18
) is full, dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
• If you have sucked up liquids:
–
detach the suction hose (

) from the device,
–
hold the device over a sink or similar outlet,
–
open the drain (

) on the front of the device by turning
it anticlockwise,
–
allow all of the water to drain out,
–
remove the lid (

) (see the “Attaching / Removing Lid”
section),
–
rinse the dirty water and dust container (

) thoroughly
with warm water.
3. Empty the fresh water reservoir (

):
–
remove it from the holder
–
unscrew the seal cap and
–
pour away the rest of the water
–
rinse the fresh water reservoir (
20
) thoroughly with warm water.
4. Remove the wet
fi
lter (
19
) from the motor unit and rinse it thoroughly with warm water.
5. If necessary, clean the housing using a slightly damp, soft cloth.
6. Remove hair and
fl
uff from the nozzles at regular intervals.
7. Allow all parts to dry completely before you store them away.
