Use
PLEASE NOTE!
■
To ensure that the mains cable does not become hot during operation, pull out at least
two thirds of the total length from the device before the vacuum cleaner is switched
on. Do not pull out the mains cable further than the red marking on the mains cable
in order to prevent damage!
■
The device should only be used if it has been fully and correctly assembled!
The dust
container, the inner chamber and the
fi
lters must be inserted and must not be
damaged!
If the dirt were to get inside the motor unit, this could damage the motor.
■
If the
MAX
marking on the dust container is reached during use, empty the dust
container.
1. Attach the suction nozzle you want to the telescopic tube (

) or suction hose (

) (see
the “Assembly” chapter).
2. Pull the connecting cable (

) out of the motor unit (

), ideally up to the yellow mark-
ing.
3. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
4. Press the On / O
ff
switch (

) to switch on the vacuum cleaner.
5. Guide the nozzle over the surface to be cleaned. The vacuum cleaner can be pulled
along like a sledge during cleaning.
Open the exhaust air valve (

) on the handle (

) to reduce the suction force
when cleaning upholstery, rugs or light, movable objects. Normally the exhaust air
valve should be closed to prevent the unnecessary reduction of the suction force.
6. After vacuuming, press the On / O
ff
switch to switch o
ff
the device.
7. Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket, hold the connecting cable securely and
press down the
button (

) for winding up the cable with your foot. Holding the
connecting cable securely prevents it having any "whiplash" e
ff
ect, e.g. against your
legs.
8. To ensure optimum performance of the device, empty the dust container (
3
) after
each use and clean the inner chamber, the cyclone insert and all
fi
lters regularly to
prevent the motor from overheating (see the “Cleaning the Device” chapter).
