Before using for the first time
1. Remove all packaging.
2. Clean the plates using a sponge and warm water.
NOTE:
Never immerse
the sandwich toaster in water or rinse it under the tap.
3. Wipe the sandwich toaster clean with a damp cloth or kitchen paper.
4. A little vegetable oil can be smeared onto the plates to help prevent the sandwiches
from sticking.
NOTE:
When using the sandwich toaster for the first time you may notice a fine smoke
haze and an odour being emitted from the unit. This is normal and completely harmless.
Using your sandwich toaster
1. Plug the sandwich toaster into a mains socket. The red ON light (3) will come on.
2. It will take approximately 5 minutes for the sandwich toaster to warm up to
operating temperature. The ready light (4) will come when the sandwich toaster
has reached operating temperature.
3. Lift the lid and place the sandwiches on the lower plate.
4. Close the lid and lock the handles with the clip. The indicator light (4) should now
come on again.
5. Toast the sandwiches for 3–6 minutes or until the ready light (4) goes off.
Adjust the cooking time to suit the type of bread, ingredients and your own
personal preference.
6. Always use a heatproof plastic or wooden spatula to remove the sandwiches from
the toaster. Never use sharp, metal implements which could damage the non-stick
coating on the plates.
7. When you have finished using the sandwich toaster, switch it off and unplug
the mains lead.
Release catch
•
Ensure that the sandwich toaster is unplugged
and is not hot.
•
Open the sandwich toaster and press the plate
release catches upwards. The plates will now
be loose.
•
Remove the plates and replace them with new
ones. Push the plates against the body until you
hear a click.
