Without the t: the BLF button will put the existing call on hold and start a new, independent call on a
different line (if available).
Note that the dial value for the state of the button is selected before checking for a t: e.g. if the string
is
2602 i=t:2602 r=pickup-2602
then if the button is pressed while you are on a call and 2602 is ringing then pressing the button will
dial pickup-2602 rather than starting a transfer to 2602.
{} can be used in dial values to represent the default value, so the pickup example could be rewritten
as:
2602 r=pickup-{}
Note that if the default value includes a t: then the t: will be included when the default is substituted
for the {}. This probably won’t give the result you want, so avoid using t: on the default value if you
want to use {}
Configuration text for BLF (Broadsoft) buttons
For Broadsoft BLFs the subscription must be configured an a line as follows:
Stuff to go here… Line > Show Advanced > BLF URI
The full configuration string for a BLF (Broadsoft) button, showing all the optional elements is:
default@domain i=idle_dial r=ringing_dial b=busy_dial h=held_dial m=match
This is the same as for a BLF button except that s=subs is replaced by m=match.
match is the value that the TVA looks for in the Broadsoft combined notification to locate that data
relevant to this button. This is likely to be the extension number or some larger string incorporating
the extension number.
For a BLF (Broadsoft) key it may be possible to leave the configuration text blank. In this case
extensions found in the notifications will automatically be assigned to available BLF (Broadsoft)
buttons.
Note that if this is done then the number dialled when the button is pressed will be exactly what was
found in the notification. This may be a long form e.g.
5551234x2602
rather than
2602.
If this is not suitable then explicit configuration will have to be entered on the button.
