To configure a controller for high bit rate digital subscriber line (SHDSL) mode, use the
controller shdsl
command in global or controller configuration mode. To disable the controller shdsl command, use the
no
form of this command.

Usage Guidelines
This command is used to configure the controller mode and the controller number.
slot number
Defines the slot on the router in which the high-speed WAN interface cards
(HWIC/EHWIC) is installed.
subslot number
Defines the subslot on the router in which the HWIC/EHWIC is installed.
port number
Defines the port on the router in which the HWIC/EHWIC is installed. By
default, Cisco HWIC-4SHDSL, HWIC-2SHDSL, and EHWIC-4SHDSL-EA
use port number 0.
number
Defines the controller number. The valid controller number is 0.
