dot1x timeout quiet-period
To set the number of seconds that the switch remains in the quiet state following a failed authentication
exchange (for example, the client provided an invalid password), use the dot1x quiet-period command
in global configuration mode. To return to the default setting, use the no form of this command.
dot1x timeout quiet-period seconds
no dot1x timeout quiet-period

During the quiet period, the switch does not accept or initiate any authentication requests.
You should change the default value of this command only to adjust for unusual circumstances such as
unreliable links or specific behavioral problems with certain clients and authentication servers.
If you want to provide a faster response time to the user, enter a smaller number than the default.
Examples
The following example shows how to set the quiet time on the switch to 30 seconds:

You can verify your settings by entering the show dot1x privileged EXEC command.
