Section 5: Parts and Module Replacement

5. Remove Color Wheel Fan Top Shield (2 screws). See

Figure 5-27

6. Remove Color Wheel Fan Base Plate with fan attached (1 screw) and flip the assembly to the side. See

Figure 5-28

7. Remove Optical Fan Assembly harness from the retaining clip.

8. Remove the screws (4) securing the Optical Fan using the 90

angle screwdriver.

9. Remove the Fan from the plastic frame. Note fan orientation before removing. See

Figure 5-29

10. Install the new Fan. Make sure the fan is installed in the proper orientation.
