5.2.10Cooling Fan - Lamp 2
Replacement Time: 25 minutes
Procedure:
1. Remove Top Cover. See 5.2.5 Top Cover .
2. Remove Top Shield. See 5.2.7 Top Shield .
3. Disconnect harness (Fan 6) from Connector-A
Board.
4. Remove harness cable from retaining clips and cut
plastic tie securing cable bundle. See Figure 5-11 .
5. Remove screws (2).
6. Remove Fan.
7. Remove gasket from exhaust port of fan noting
placement of gasket around exhaust opening.
8. Place gasket (removed above) on new fan assembly
on same sides of exhaust opening.
9. Install new fan.
NOTICE:
Make sure harness cable
is routed as per Figure 5-11 .
10. Connect harness (Fan 6 to Connector-A Board), and secure cable bundle with plastic tie.
5.2.11Lamp Cooling Fan Ducts
Replacement Time: 25 minutes
Procedure:
1. Remove Top Cover. See 5.2.5 Top Cover .
2. Remove Top Shield. See 5.2.7 Top Shield .
3. Remove screws (2). See Figure 5-12 .
4. Replace Duct.
5. Repeat for second Duct if required.
5.2.12Prism Fan Assembly
Replacement Time: 30 minutes
Procedure:
1. Remove Top Cover. See 5.2.5 Top Cover .
2. Remove Top Shield. See 5.2.7 Top Shield .
3. Disconnect harness (Fan 12) from Connector-B Board and remove from cable clips.
4. Remove Color Wheel fan shield (2 screws) to access Prism Fan assembly casing screw.
5. Remove screws (4). See Figure 5-13 .
