3.7 Calibration
3.7.1 F-type Fan Calibration
NOTE
: After changing the F-type FAN (FAN6, FAN7, FAN8, FAN9) or the DMD board,
F-type Fan calibration is required.
Procedure
1. Place the projector on a horizontal surface.
2. Enter Factory Mode (see 3.1.1 Factory Mode ).
3. Select Fan , then press
E
NTER
key to execute F-type Fan Calibration.
4. When the countdown time runs to 0, the F-type Fan Calibration is finished.
Criteria
If the Blower RPM does not comply with the RPM range in Table 3.3 , change the
blower.
3.7.2 Dynamic Aperture Calibration
NOTE:
After changing the DA module or the DMD board, DA calibration is required.
Procedure
1. Place the projector on a horizontal surface.
2. Enter Factory Mode (see 3.1.1 Factory Mode ).
3. Provide a signal at one of the inputs.
4. Set DA to Open .
5. Select DA Home , select Dual: 10 ; press the

key through the sequence
10>11>12>13 ; then press the
L
EFT
key through the sequence 13>12>11>10 to check
whether DA is active. A change in brightness of the projected signal should occur as
the sequence is performed. Then set
DA Home to Dual: 10 .
6. Select DA then press the
S
ELECT
key repeatedly through Open > Close > Open to
check whether DA is active. A change in brightness of the projected signal should
occur as the sequence is performed.
Inspection item
Check if the brightness of the screen changes when performing the DA calibration.
