The Chicco SterilNaturalDigit Electronic Steam Steriliser
uses the properties of steam to quickly and naturally disinfect
feeding bottles, soothers and breast feeding accessories: disin­
fection is an indispensable procedure for a newborn baby’s
health because it eliminates germs. It is easy to use and can
hold up to 6 feeding bottles from the Well-Being line and 4
feeding bottles from the Step Up line, with all relative acces-
sories. Please read these instructions carefully before using the
appliance and keep them for future reference. This will ensure
the appliance is used correctly and guarantee extra safety and
long-lasting durability.
CHICCO GUARANTEES YOUR BABY
• Wide spectrum virucide action (Adenovirus Type 5, Poliovirus
Type 1), bactericide action against common germs (Staphy-
lococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecium, Escherichia coli) and
fungicide action against Candida albicans.
• Keeps contents sterilised for 5 hours, if the lid is not re-
moved.
• Electrical safety: appliance carrying IMQ certification.
• Equipment in compliance with the essential requirements
laid down in 2006/95/EC Directive (electrical safety) and the
norms laid down in 2004/108/EC Directive (electromagnetic
compatibility).
• Silent operation: it does not disturb your baby.
WARNINGS
- Never insert more than 6 Chicco feeding bottles Well-Being
or 4 Chicco feeding bottles step up with all their accessories.
- Please check that the rated voltage on the steriliser (see indi-
cations on the plate under the appliance) corresponds to the
mains voltage supply you intend to use.
- Connect the appliance to a mains socket that is easy to ac-
cess.
- Warning: for safety reasons the appliance must always be
connected to an electricity system which has efficient earth-
ing connections.
- Before using the appliance, always make sure that neither
the product nor its components are worn or damaged. If in
doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your local re-
tailer or qualified experts.
- Do not place objects which are not suitable for hot disinfec-
tion inside the steriliser.
- Never use the appliance without inserting the component
holder basket first.
- The steriliser is intended for indoor use only; do not leave
the appliance exposed to the sun, rain and any other atmos-
pheric conditions.
- To carry out a sterilisation cycle, do not pour any other liq-
uids other than drinking water into the container.
- Only place the appliance on flat, stable surfaces. Do not
place it directly on or near hot surfaces, hobs, warming
plates or delicate surfaces that may be sensitive to humidity
and/or heat.
- During use, the appliance will heat up and the boiling water
turns to steam; for this reason always be very cautious and
take care when the appliance is in use as the hole located on
the upper part of the lid releases steam. Keep your limbs and
face at a safe distance from the hole as the steam can cause
burns.
- Do not obstruct the steam hole located on the upper part of
the lid.
- When the appliance is hot, always remove the lid with the
maximum care, as the steam released could cause burns.
- Immediately after the disinfection cycle, the objects inside
the appliance are very hot. Always handle with the maxi-
mum care! Leave it to cool down. Warning! If there is a power
blackout while the appliance is working, the disinfection cy-
cle may not have been completed. In this case, the disinfec-
tion of the products in the appliance might not be sufficient.
- The parts and components of this equipment cannot be
repaired by the user. Do not attempt to open or repair the
steriliser. Should the product be damaged, contact a quali-
fied technician. The appliance can only be opened with spe-
cial tools.
- Only use the power cable supplied with the appliance.
- If you need to replace the power cable, contact one of
Artsana S.p.A.’s authorised retailers. Do not use power ca-
bles not approved by the manufacturer: it could be a source
of danger. Contact a qualified technician to replace the pow-
er cable’s plug.
- Always disconnect the plug from the mains socket when the
steriliser is not in use.
- If you have any doubts on the explanations provided in this
instruction manual, please contact your retailer or Artsana
S.p.A.
- Please dispose of this appliance according to the differenti-
ated waste collection regulations in your area.

I. HOW TO OPERATE THE APPLIANCE
By pressing the ON button I (d1), water is automatically sent
into the heating tank, after which the heating and disinfecting
cycle begins (12 minutes). At the end of the cycle, an acoustic
signal (5 beeps) from the appliance indicates that the cycle has
finished.
If, at the end of every cycle, the appliance is not switched off by
pressing the 0 button (d2), it automatically repeats a new disin-
fecting cycle every 5 hours (duration of disinfection if the lid is
not removed), until there is no water left in the tank.
WARNING!
If you do to wish that the appliance automatically carries out
further cycles, switch it off, pressing the OFF button 0 (d2).
II. HOW TO USE THE CHICCO STERILISER
a. Always place the appliance out of reach of children, on a flat,
stable surfaces that is not sensitive to heat and/or humidity,
close to a mains socket that is easily accessible (diag. 1).
b. Remove the transparent lid (diag. 2).
c. Remove the water tank from its housing. Loosen and remove
the stopper located in the lower part of the tank; fill the tank
completely with cold tap water (diag. 3) Close the water
