10.2 Automatic lubrication using of the hydraulic breaker of
the CP750, CP1150, CP1650, CP2250, CP3050 and CP4250
10.2.1 Automatic lubrication using CP−Lube
Hydraulic breakers CP750, CP 11 50, CP 16 50,
CP2250, CP3050 and CP4250 are e q uipped with
the CP −L ube automatic lubrication unit as standard.
CP −L ube is attached near the ser v ice opening on the
upper part of the breaker bo x .
10.2.2 Changing the lubricant cartridge
The diagrams below depict the logical steps in v ol v ed in preparing and fitting a new cartridge.

O pen the cartridge by taking off the cap and, on
sealed cartridges, by cutting off the seal abo v e
the cone (Fig. 1 )
Important: Do not cut off or damage the cone
itself!
H
Depress the cartridge piston with your thumb until
lubricant emerges from the threaded end (Fig. 2).
H
S crew the cartridge into the bore pro v ided in the
pump unit as far as it will go.
The CP
−L ube is now ready for operation
(Fig. 3).

10.2.3 Operating the CP−Lube
Please obser v e the following information :
H
CP −L ube is selfbleeding, i.e. the system re q uires
no additional bleeding.
H
The cartridge is made of transparent, recyclable
plastic (P
E ), so the lubricant le v el in the cartridge
can be monitored at all times from the dri v er’s cab
by obser v ing the position of the piston, which is
red.
H
The piston end of the cartridge must ne v er be
sealed off, as this would render deli v ery imposs
ible.
H
The amount of lubricant deli v ery per stroke can
be set using the metering screw, allowing the unit
to be adapted to differing re
q uirements.
Turn the screw clockwise = smaller deli v ery
per stroke
Turn the screw anticlockwise = greater deli v ery
per stroke

O nce the cartridge is empty, the pump unit must
be sealed off to pre v ent water or dust penetration.
Close the unit with a dust cap or simply lea v e the
empty cartridge in position until a new cartridge is
a
v ailable.
H
E mergency lubrication is possible v ia the lu − brica
tion nipple on the front of the CP −L ube.

The connections for hoses used to operate the
CP
−L ube unit must be checked once a week to
ensure they ha v e not come loose.
