72 Chapter 4. Controls
Loop Output threshold N active
If set, this flag indicates that the threshold N (where N is either 1
or 2) is active for the given output.
Proportional control enabled If set, this flag indicates that the proportional control is active in the
current PID configuration.
Integral control enabled If set, this flag indicates that the integral control is active in the current PID
configuration.
Derivative control enabled If set, this flag indicates that the derivative control is active in the current
PID configuration.
Bumpless transfer enabled This flag is set when bumpless transfer is enabled.
Integral wind-up protection enabled This flag is set when integral wind-up protection is enabled.
Integral wind-up protection active If set, this flag indicates that integral wind-up protection is cur-
rently active.
Boost enabled This flag is set when the boost feature is enabled.
Boost active If set, this flag indicates the control is currently modified by the boost feature.
Boost Inhibited This flag is set when the boost feature is inhibited from further activation.
4.1.2.8 Error Flags
The error flags show any problems causing an error for a device. These flags can either be active or
not. To see the state of these error flags, select:
Options → Device Flags → Error Flags
Flags that are active are shown in black text on a white background, those that are not active are
grayed out. Available flags are:
Process run/stop signal error If set, this flag indicates that the control can not read the state of the
run/stop signal.
Process variable read error
This flag is set if the control can not read the process variable.
Loop Output alarm N active
If set, this flag indicates that the alarm N (where N is either 1 or 2) is
active for the given output. Loop is either primary, secondary or tertiary (most controls only have
a primary output).
Error reading PID setpoint If set, this flag indicates the control is unable to read the setpoint value
when using dynamic setpoints.
Fail-safe mode active This flag is set if the control enters failsafe mode.
Overfeed protection active This flag is set if over feed protection has been activated.
