5.1.1 Taking a measurement of single pieces
To do so:
Tight packaging material required. Let your humimeter device adjust to the
surrounding temperature of the product being measured before the measurement (see
"5.2 Adjustment behaviour of the sensor"
).
1. Put the material being measured into the
packaging (figure
).
2. Take hold of the device with one hand and insert
the sword into the packaging so that it is com-
pletely enclosed by the material.
3. Seal the packaging to prevent air exchange with
the environment (figure
).
4. Let the device adjust to the material being measu-
red for an adequate time period (see
).
5. Now take the measured values shown on the
display of the device.
»
Once the reading has been taken, it can be saved
on the device (see
"6.2 Saving your readings manu-
"6.3 Auto save function (time-based)"
)
i
Information - Measuring accuracy
This rapid and non-destructive measuring procedure allows you to take mois-
ture readings at a number of different points. When saving the individual rea-
dings, the device will automatically calculate the readings’ average (see
Saving several readings (a measurement series) at the same time"
).
i
Information - Incorrect readings
Always make sure to select the correct product type for the material you are
measuring. This prevents taking incorrect readings (see
).
