INSTALLATION

2.1. 

Tools Required

Installation may require a #2 Phillips Screwdriver, wire cutters, wire strippers and a wire crimping tool for 18AWG wire. The Protocol Con-
verter should be shelf or rack-mounted. Rack-mount brackets are included with the Protocol Converter, but rack-mount screws are not in-
cluded with the Protocol Converter. Contact the rack manufacturer for rack-mount screws.

2.2. 

Mount the Protocol Converter

The Protocol Converter comes with mounting brackets to allow the unit to be installed in a
19” EIA (482.6 mm).

. Using the screws provided, attach the mounting brackets to the sides of the device.

Note: The brackets can be reversed so the other side of the Protocol Converter is facing outward.

2. 

Install the Protocol Converter in the rack.

3. 

Use the proper anchoring method to mount the Protocol Converter securely in the rack.
