26
WARNING
Do not start the vehicle while the battery charging cable is
connected and the generator is running. It will not give the
battery a boost of power. The vehicle or the generator may
be damaged. Charge only vented wet lead acid batteries.
Other types of batteries may burst, causing personal injury or
damage.
NOTICE
Be sure all electric devices including the lines and plug
connections are in good condition before connection to the
generator.
Parallel Operation
The Champion model 201003 is parallel ready and can be
operated in parallel with another Champion unit to increase the
total available electrical power. A Champion parallel kit (optional
equipment) is required for parallel operation. Model 100319 is the
recommended model for this unit. For a list of compatible models
or to order a parallel kit, please call customer service at
1-877-338-0999 or visit www.championpowerequipment.com.
Detailed instructions for parallel kit installation and operation of
the connected generators are provided in the parallel kit operator’s
manual.
Stopping the Engine
1. Turn off and unplug all connected electrical loads. Never start
or stop the generator with electrical devices plugged in or
turned on.
2. Let the generator run at no-load for several minutes to
stabilize internal temperatures of the engine and generator.
3.
If operating by gasoline:
3a. Turn the EZ Start dial to the “OFF” position.
4.
If operating by propane (LPG):
4a. Fully close the propane (LPG) cylinder valve. When
operating by propane, the ignition switch will NOT stop
the engine.
4b. Turn the EZ Start dial to the “OFF” position.
Important:
Always ensure that the fuel valve, the ignition switch,
and the battery switch are in the “OFF” position when the
generator is not in use.
NOTICE
If the engine will not be used for a period of two (2) weeks or
longer, please see the Storage section for proper engine and
fuel storage.
