Note:
The given total vibration rating has been measured according to a standard test method and it can be used to compare one device against another device.
The given total vibration rating can also be used as a preliminary evaluation of the hazard.
Attention!
The vibration emissions may differ from the total given rating when the power tool is used as they will depend on how the device is being used.
There is a need to determine the safety measures based on identifying the hazard under actual usage conditions to protect the user (taking the entire operating
cycle into account, such as times when the power tool is off or idling, in addition to the tripping time)
Before using
You must ensure that the information on the rating plate matches the power supply voltage before you connect the device to the power supply. Always unplug
the mains plug from the power socket before making any adjustments to the device.
• The battery in your device is only partially pre-charged when delivered and it needs to be fully charged before using it for the first time. We recommend that you
charge the battery for approx. 80 minutes during its initial charge. Insert the battery in the holder and then connect the charger to the mains.
• Unplug the main plug when the battery is fully charged and then disconnect the charger from the device. The charging time is approx. 80 min.
• Do not continuously recharge your battery. This might damage the battery cells. Note: Continuous small capacity recharging can damage the battery cells. Re-
charge only when the device starts to run slowly. This might damage the battery cells. Defects caused by incorrect handling are not covered by the guarantee.
Removing / inserting the battery (Fig. II)
- Remove the battery from the device by pressing the battery release button and then pull the battery out.
- Insert the battery by sliding it along the guide rail in the device. Do not insert the battery before the device has been fully assembled. The risk of being injured
always exits!
Recharging the battery (Fig. III)
Overheating protection will only allow the battery to recharge at a specific temperature. The battery cannot be charged immediately if it is still too warm after use.
The recharging process will start automatically after a cooling-down period of a few minutes.
- remove the battery from the device if necessary
- slide the charger’s charging socket into the battery
- plug the charger into a power socket
- unplug the charger from the mains after recharging has finished
Battery capacity indicator
The light will come on when you press the red button on the battery pack. The battery capacity indicator indicates the battery’s charge level using 3 coloured
LEDs.
- All of the LEDs lit: The battery is fully charged.
- Two LEDs lit: The battery has sufficient remaining charge.
- One LED lit: The battery is discharged – recharge the battery.
Wheel assembly (Fig. IV)
Slide the guide wheel into the opening in the main housing until it clicks into place.
Fitting the protective cover (Fig. V)
Attach the guard as shown and secure it in place using the supplied screw
Fitting the brush (Figs. VI - VIII)
Mount the brush on the drive axle. The axle must be held in place to secure the brush. Insert the locking tool into the recess in the drive axle and then use one
hand to hold it in place. Now use the wing nut to secure the brush in place and tighten it hand-tight.
Important!
Ensure that you remove the locking tool from the drive axle.
Fitting the additional handle (Figs. IX - X)
Unscrew the securing screw from the handle, then put the additional handle on the device’s handle and then use the securing screw to fix it in place.
Connecting the machine head to the telescopic tube (Fig. XI)
Push the machine head onto the telescopic tube until you hear it click in place. Now use the locking lever to lock the connection. Remove the machine head by
opening the locking lever and pressing the two side locking buttons. The machine head can now be removed from the telescopic tube.
Height adjustment (Fig. XII)
Loosen the union nut until the device’s tie bars can move apart and together freely. Now set up your preferred working height and secure the tie bar in this posi-
tion by retightening the union nut.
