When
over appears in the indication of the value of a function, this means that the measured
value exceeds the upper limit of the measurement range (over-range).
7.3.7
Indicator (---)
If the --- indicator appears after finishing a measurement, can be because:
•
The sound pressure level reached over the background noise is not enough to calculate
the parameter (T
20
∆
>35 dB and T
30
∆
>45)
•
The reverberation time cannot be calculated.
7.3.8 Turning the SC-30 off
To turn the SC-30 off, first make sure that no measurement is in progress ( ), then press
7.3.9 Menu of SC-30
While no measurement is in progress ( ) you can access to the SC-30 menu by pressing:
All the options of the menu are available.
To return to the reverberation time mode, press:
7.4 Data register
The values of the measured functions may be stored in the SC-30 internal memory. When
the unit is switched off, the data is saved and may be retrieved and displayed directly from
the SC-30 or transferred to a PC. The memory may be erased directly from the SC-30.
7.4.1 Saving results
Once a measurement has been completed ( ), the results may be stored in the memory. Do
this by selecting the SAVE RESULTS option from the main menu The SC-30 indicates the
memory number under which the data has been saved.
The
SC-30 saves the following information for the octave bands centred at 63, 125, 250, 500,
1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz frequencies:
•
Reverberation Time mode:
o
Reverberation Time T
20
and T
30
.
o
Sound pressure level of background noise.
o
Initial maximum sound pressure level.
o
Decay curve: Time history of the sound pressure level decay.
