safety features
Secure locking mechanism and steam release valve inside the handle
To prevent opening under pressure as well as pressure build up when the lid is not properly closed.
Turning the red knob to “OPEN” automatically opens the steam valve and
steam is being released. As long
as the unit is not properly and securely closed, the steam release valve remains open, preventing any
pressure build-up.
Pressure control valve:
In case of exceedance of the highest working pressure of 2,7 bar by more than 10%, pressure is released
through this safety mechanism.
Safety valve:
In the event that the pressure control valve fails, the safety valve opens at 3,6
–
4 bar to ensure the safety
of the user. This safety valve closes automatically as soon as operating pressure has been reached. If this
happens the pressure control valve needs to be changed immediately, as it is defect.
If this occurs DO NOT use the device and return it to the dealer or the manufacturer for
examination and a security check. It is dangerous to work with such a unit.
