Starting and running forces



Test the starting force of the gate as per the diagram. Use a pull scale to determine
the maximum amount of pull force required to get the gate moving



Determine the running force of the gate by continuing to pull on the scale with just
sufficient force to keep it running and read off the maximum value in kgf shown on the
scale



Where possible determine the gate mass



The warranty will be void if the pull force and/or gate mass exceed the operator
specification as below:



Starting force - 18kgf



Running (rated) force - 9kgf



Maximum gate mass - 250kgf


