Sealvac Steel
appliance will stop automatically when the process is finished.
· Unplug the hose from both the vacuum nozzle and the hole in the lid of the canister.
· To remove the items from the canister, press down the button on its lid and open the canister
in a few seconds.
HELPFUL TIPS
1. Do not overfill the bags, leave enough space at the opening of the bag so that it can be placed
in the vacuum chamber easily.
2. Make sure that the opening of the bag is not wet. A wet bag may be difficult to seal.
3. Vacuum sealing cannot completely replace refrigeration and freezing. Perishable food still
needs to be refrigerated or frozen.
4. Clean and straighten the opening of the bag; make sure there are no wrinkles on the opening.
Otherwise, there could be difficulties to vacuum and seal the bag.
5. To prevent wrinkles in a seal when vacuum sealing bulky items, gently stretch the bag flat
while inserting it into the vacuum chamber, and hold it until the pump begins to work.
6. Pre-freeze fruits and blanched vegetables before vacuum packing for best results.
7. 40-second pauses are recommended after every use.
8. If you are not sure whether your bag was sealed properly or not, reseal the bag.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
2. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
3. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, as they could damage the surface of the appliance.
4. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a wet cloth or sponge; use mild soap if necessary.
5. To clean the vacuum chamber, wipe away any food or liquid remainders with kitchen paper.
6. Dry thoroughly before use.
5. TROUBLESHOOTING
Air was sucked out from the bag, but now has re-entered
1. Examine the seal of the bag. A wrinkle along the seal may cause leakage and allow air to enter
the bag. Simply cut the bag under the seal and reseal it.
2. Sometimes moisture or food material (such as juices, grease, crumbs, powder, etc.) along the
seal prevents the bag from sealing properly. Cut the bag under the seal, wipe the inner top of
the bag and reseal it.
3. If you vacuum a package with sharp foodstuffs, the bag may have been punctured. Use a
new bag if there is a hole. Cover the sharp foodstuffs with a soft cushioning material, such as
kitchen paper, and reseal the bag.
4. If there is air in the bag, fermentation or the release of natural gases from the inside of
foodstuffs may have happened. If this happens, the food may have begun to spoil and should
be discarded.
