Packaging in Pre-Cut Rolls and Bags
1. Place the unit on a dry work space. Make sure the working area in front of the unit is free of
obstacles and offers enough space to accommodate the food bags. The unit can also be used in
a vertical position using the wall hanger. Plug into a socket with a voltage that corresponds to the
voltage of the unit (see Technical Data). To facilitate positioning of the bag pull out the plastic
slide from the bottom of the unit by turning it towards the front (VC33 only) before starting the
suction operation.
2. Make sure that the bag you want to use is at least 8 cm/3.1 in.
longer than the food. Add another
2 cm/.8 in.
each time the bag is re-used. When using pre-cut bags please read the instructions
under section 4 of this paragraph.
3.
When using rolls
: Unroll to the desired length and cut the bag to the appropriate length with
precise and clear cut. Open the lid and place an open side of the bag on the sealing bar (11.) and
before the black sealing gasket (14.) with the smooth side up. Close the lid and press it down for
several seconds, until the red control light starts flashing. When the bag is sealed, the red light
turns off. Lift up the lid, press the connector/evacuation pushbutton (1.) and remove the bag. Now
you have a custom-made bag.
Remove the sealed bag from the device and proceed as with a normal bag by following the
instructions 4-7.
4.
Vacuum packaging
: Place the food inside the bag, taking care not to cause wrinkles or tension
on the surface. Remove any unwanted liquids or food residue from the inside of the bag you are
about to seal. Lift the cover (6.) and place the bag with its contents in front of the machine by
positioning the end inside the vacuum chamber (Figure 7).
5. Lower the lid (6.) completely down and press it down for several seconds (figure 8). The yellow
control light flashes while the unit is operating. The vacuum cycle is now in progress. During the
sealing phase also the red control light will start flashing. When the bag is sealed both control
lights turn off. Now press the emptying pushbutton (1.) and let air into the pneumatic circuit
(Figure 9). Lift the lid and remove the bag with the sealed end.
If you need to interrupt the vacuum operation (e.g. the bag is incorrectly positioned) first press the
STOP pushbutton and then the emptying pushbutton (1.).
