Power Requirements
Power is supplied by a single AAA-size alkaline battery (LR03). Use of a
battery type recommended by CASIO or its equivalent is recommended.
•
Replace the battery as soon as possible after the low battery indicator
(
) appears on the display.
•
Make sure that the (+) and (–) ends of the battery are oriented
correctly when you load it.
•
Be sure to remove the battery from the Pulse Monitor if you do not
plan to use it for a long time.
•
Failure to replace a weak or old battery can lead to malfunction.
•
The battery that comes with the Pulse Monitor is not a rechargeable
type. Never try to charge it.
•
The original battery that comes with the Pulse Monitor is loaded at the
factory before shipment. Because of time spent in transit and storage,
the original battery may not provide the specified battery life.
•
Should a battery ever leak, immediately wipe the fluid from inside the
battery compartment, taking care not to get any on your skin.
•
Keep all batteries out of the reach of small children. If a battery is
accidentally swallowed, immediately contact a physician.
•
Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the regulations and laws
in your particular country or area.
To load the battery
1. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the two screws that secure
the battery cover in place.
2. Use the indent at the top of the battery cover to pry it open, and then
remove the cover.
3. Making sure that its (+) and (–) ends are oriented correctly, load the
battery into the battery compartment.
4. Insert the tabs along the bottom of the battery cover into the slots at
the edge of the battery compartment, and then swing the cover into
place.
5. Secure the battery cover with its two screws.
•
Make sure that the areas where the battery cover contacts the battery
compartment are clean and free of foreign matter. Dirt, dust, and other
foreign matter can allow moisture to get inside the Pulse Monitor.
Auto Power Off
The Pulse Monitor will automatically turn off if there is no measurement
operation being performed and you do not perform any button operation
for about one hour. Note that this is true even if you are just listening to
the radio.
