ELECTRONIC HITCH DIAGNOSTIC CODES
NORMAL OPERATION
A seven segment LED display will show codes that relate the performance of the Electronic Hitch Control
System. When the key switch is in the ON position power is applied to the Electronic Hitch Control System
and all display segments are displayed for 2 seconds for a display check.
The display code for normal operation is ‘0”. The dot *.* indicates tractor speed under 0.5 miles per hour.
HITCH CONTROL MODULE FAILURE MODES
The four non-normal failure modes corresponding to the various error code displays are, HALT, LIMP, DEGRADED 2, and
DEGRADED 1, each failure mode will generate different modes of operation as follows:
MODE OPERATIONAL HITCH FUNCTIONS
HALT Hitch is totally disabled and no electrical actuation is possible.
LIMP Tractor travel must be stopped. The hitch can be momentarily actuated up and down from the RAISE/LOWER
switch or the rear remote switches.
DEGRADED 2 Hitch is operational in position mode only. Draft mode is inaccessible.
DEGRADED 1 Hitch is fully operational with default values for certain variables.
NOTE: When the
display shows the failure
code, the status
lamp is on
continuously or flashing.

control module.
