8 - TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM

POSSIBLE CAUSE

CORRECTION

Check the general pressure of
transmission.
Check voltage.
Check the operation of the solenoid
valve.
Check the mounting of the brake
solenoid valve block after operating
on the brake.

The brake does not release.

After the above-described
verifications, disassemble the
brake cover and check the condition
of the parts for unlocking/locking
the brake (teflon seals, Belleville
washers, brake disc deformation,
etc.).

Incorrect oil temperature.

Wait for the operating temperature to
be reached (stall test).

Transmission oil overheating.

Restore acceptable temperature
values.

Incorrect operating pressures.

Check the hydraulic circuit and
replace (oil pump, filters, control
valve).

Damaged converter.

Replace the converter.

Incorrect oil level.

Restore the oil level.

Worn-out clutch assembly.

Replace/repair.

4WD fails to engage.

Repair/replace the 4WD shaft assy.

Overheated solenoids/solenoid
valves.

Replace.

Damaged connections of
transmission and vehicle wiring
harness (only for POWERSHIFT
