7 - MAINTENANCE

7. Place the battery switch

in the OFF position.

NOTE:

Some units may be equipped with a dual batteries

but the process is the same. First figure is a single battery
configuration and the second image is a dual battery con-
figuration.

8. Remove the battery master switch support

without

disconnect the battery cables.

9. You must disconnect the battery cables in the following

order:

A. First, remove the terminal cover and disconnect

the negative terminal cables

B. Second, remove the terminal cover and disconnect

the positive terminal cables

(2)

10. Remove the nuts and washers

(3)

, the clamping bar

(4)

and the brackets

(5)

and remove the old battery.

11. Install the new battery.

12. Install the brackets

, the clamping bar

(4)

and the

washers and nuts

(3)

13. Clean the cables and the connecting terminals and

coat them with grease.

14.

You must connect the battery cables in the following
order:

A. First, connect the positive terminal cables

and

install the terminal cover.

B. Second, connect the negative terminal cables

and install the terminal cover.

15. Assemble the battery master switch support
