Launching a Telnet Session

Launching a Telnet Session

A Telnet session can be used to access the TUI or the CLI. 

Before you can use the Telnet session, the module must be connected via 
Ethernet.

To access the Telnet option, select 

Telnet

 from the 

Admin

 menu. A Telnet session launches and 

connects to the IP address of the card connected to the NMS cable. The Login screen for the card 
displays. The Telnet session uses the default VT100 terminal or VT100 terminal emulation software. 
For a Windows PC, the default terminal emulation software is typically HyperTerminal.
