2. INSTALLATION
The system must be installed in compliance with the relevant standards in
force, by qualifi ed personnel and according to the instructions provided
by the manufacturer. Incorrect installation may cause harm to people and
animals or material damage, in which cases the manufacturer cannot be
held liable.
2.1 Water connections
Reverse osmosis desalinators operate correctly at a feed water pressure
ranging from a minimum of 3.5 bars to a maximum of 8 bars.
If the pressure is lower than 3.5 bars, a pressurisation unit needs to be
installed upstream of the appliance, while if the pressure exceeds 8 bars,
a pressure reducer needs to be installed, again upstream of the appliance.
2.1.1 System feed water connection
Connect the feed water to the system using piping with a minimum
diameter of the connector on the appliance, ensuring fl ow-rate and
pressure in accordance with the values shown in the table paragraph 1.6.
Fit a pressure gauge and a shut-off valve.
Outlet connection
Connect the water outlet hose (white hose, 6 mm diameter) from the
pressure switch to the ball valve BV

(Fig. 2.c).
Expansion vessel connection.
Connect the hose supplied (white hose, 6 mm diameter) to the ‘T’
connector via the 10/6 adapter (both supplied), then to valve BV1 (Fig.
2.f ).
Concentrate drain connection
Connect the concentrate hose (black hose, 6 mm diameter) to a free
drain, using the piping (black hose, 8 mm diameter) complete with
connection, supplied (Fig. 2.d).
Important:
Leave clear space at the front of the system to guarantee enough room
for personnel to carry out adjustments and/or maintenance.
Fasten the system to a wall that can support its total weight when fi lled
with water (minimum 25 kg). Use the screws supplied, positioned in the
holes shown in the photo.
