“Main

&

S

econdary” installation

The Main/Secondary system features one Main humidifi er, which manages operation of the Secondary units. The external signal
or probe connections, depending on the set control type, are made to just one of the humidifi ers in the system. The unit that
the signal is connected to will automatically be identifi ed as the Main. Consequently, the Main does not need to be especially
confi gured.

As long as the Main unit is powered, the system will operate even if the Main unit itself has a malfunction (e.g. alarms, production
stopped, ...), as the controller on this unit will send all the necessary data to the Secondary units. Obviously, if system redun-
dancy is not provided for, the amount of steam produced will be lower than actual requirements. If the Main unit is completely
switched off , the Main/Secondary system cannot read the signals/control probes. Therefore, it is recommended to connect at
least two (or all) of the humidifi ers in the system to the external signal or to fi t them with distinct probes.
